AI, blah, blah , blah , blah, blah….I get it. AI is here to stay. Sure, AI can speed things up. It can also speed up doing it wrong. AI is a tool, in the toolbox of “legal combat” in this thing I call The Legal Matrix.
Sure, with all the AI prompts and versions out there, you probably can “craft” a lawsuit, or a motion for this, motion for that, yada , yada, yada. But ,,,,,pay heed, even lawyers have done that only to get severely “spanked” by the courts. Yeah, baby, tossed right out on their collective heads. They didn’t read what they submitted, didn’t check, ouch!!!!!!
But here’s what AI can’t replicate, yet. The trial attorney. Nope, AI is what man puts into it, programs into it, and regurgitates it back faster, more organized, not necessarily right, however. But AI can’t do what the litigator does. Not yet anyway. Maybe someday, but not today.
It’s become clear that for simple legal things, AI can do those (i.e., a will, power of attorney) but I’ve even seen the AI versions, ummmm, well, not good. It still takes humans for proper judgment. AI just gives you maybe good facts, maybe good output, but in the end, let me ask you these questions:
1. Do I want my next flight to be piloted by AI only, with no human pilots on board?
1. Do I want my lawyer in a first-degree murder trial to be an AI hologram?
1. Do I want to have an AI robot “doctor” do surgery on my bursting appendix?
1. Do I want to have an AI driver for my ambulance?
These are serious questions one need ask in the legal matrix world.
