Our Military History

At The Law Office of Bryce D. Neier, PLLC, in Fayetteville, our firm has a long history of not only representing military service members, but of military service as well. Attorney Bryce D. Neier is a former United States Army Captain serving in duty positions of platoon leader, executive officer, commander, Battalion Adjutant, Logistics, and NATO Intelligence and War Planning. During his time in service, he was stationed overseas for more than five years straight before returning to the United States. His father, Richard E. Neier, served as a United States Army Lieutenant (later Captain) in the 33rd Regiment of the 3rd Armored Division in World War II, fighting across France, Belgium and eventually into Germany, and assisting in the liberation of the Dora-Mittelbau concentration camp.

Toward the end of WWII Lieutenant Richard E. Neier was seriously injured during combat operations. He received the Purple Heart and the Silver Star for Gallantry in Combat and was eventually medically retired attaining the rank of Captain before returning to Colgate University and graduating in 1948. He then attended Cornell University School of Law graduating in 1951 practicing in both New York and Connecticut

During his tour of combat Lieutenant Richard E. Neier was able to take many photos before, during and after combat ranging from 1941 through 1945 which Attorney Bryce D Neier proudly will share with his clients who are interested in military history.

Attorney Bryce D. Neier’s son , Bryce E. Neier joined the North Carolina Army National Guard at age 17 while in his senior year in high school in November 2018, and is currently enrolled in Army R.O.T.C. working towards earning his commission as a 2LT at East Carolina University. He is currently assigned to an infantry battalion in North Carolina and has been called up on active duty serving his country as needed.

Attorney Bryce D. Neier’s paternal uncle, Thomas D. Neier, graduated West Point in 1937 eventually retiring as a Colonel.
